It appears from reports, that President Trump is considering a dramatic reallocation of federal education dollars that would redirect billions away from elite universities/institutions toward practical skills training. In a recent statement, the President announced he is contemplating a massive shift in federal education funding priorities. In a post on Truth Social, the President announced: “I am considering taking Three Billion Dollars of Grant Money away from (elite universities) . . ., and giving it to TRADE SCHOOLS all across our land. What a great investment that would be for the USA, and so badly needed!!!”
Such a reallocation of funds would fundamentally realign trade-schools and community colleges on stronger footing to counter the predetermined four-year university approach to future jobs and careers.
